I grew up in a farming community near Bowling Green, Ohio. I attended Bowling Green State University and received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree with a double major in organ and french horn, and a Masters degree in Education Administration. I have worked five years as a high school band director, twenty-six years with Schwan's sales as a route salesperson, sales manager, division manager, and director of training. I have worked here at Bethel as the Director of Music Ministry since 2003.

My musical experiences have been varied and this variety can be seen through the worship music. The music may reach from pre-Bach to modern, from four-part choral to praise band, from different styles of jazz to rock-and-roll to gospel. Whatever the musical setting, the goal is always to produce music to "the glory of God to the best of our ability."

My wife, Carolyn, and I live in New London and spend our time off with our children and grandchildren.
