Bethel's High School Youth Attend ELCA Youth Gathering 2009
New Orleans, Louisianna

16 youth and adults from Bethel attended Jesus Justice Jazz July 22-26th in New Orleans. It was a great trip. The gathering was centered on the concept of 'compassionate justice' and our call to live out lives of compassionate justice in baptism. Youth and adults served at a local school, helping to paint the entire 3rd floor of the building, heard from many inspiring speakers who are living very public lives of compassionate justice, dance to the beat of several musical groups, and learn more about the culture and history of the people in New Orleans.
